Job Description
Responsibilities
- Manage a multi-site, cross-functional team that includes hardware, software and mechanical engineering, support, test and production
- Create, maintain and deliver to project development schedules and budgets
- Ensure adherence to AS9100 processes
- Provide technical oversight of the engineering teams
- Define and manage work for subcontractors
- Engage with internal and external customers to gather requirements and deliver product solutions
- Participate as a member of the Ashburn ISR leadership team
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent mix of education and experience
- Minimum 10 years industry experience
- Proven team management skills
- A thorough understanding of hardware and software design processes
- Familiarity with design for manufacturing processes and techniques
- Familiarity with design for rugged environments
- Experience with the creation and maintenance of project budgets and schedules
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with the latest industry technologies, such as VPX, Gen 3 PCI Express, 40GE Ethernet, 40Gb Infiniband, USB 3.0, DDR3 memory, etc.
- Experience with Intel x86 multiprocessor designs highly desired
- Experience with high-end FPGA design is valuable
