Quality Manager

Alpha Q, Inc. is seeking an experienced Manager of Quality Assurance to join our Aerospace Manufacturing division. Position Description: Alpha Q, Inc. has an opening for a Manager of Quality Assurance within our aerospace manufacturing division. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position to include, but not limited to: • Overall responsibility for maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction and product integrity regarding the quality of our products and services supplied. • Formulates, develops, prepares, implements, and maintains the Quality Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness of company Quality Management System. • Primary point of contact with customers and suppliers on all issues concerning quality. • Responsible for the daily planning, scheduling and direction of inspection and quality department personnel. Works closely with other functional areas to ensure a productive, efficient, and reliable flow of product through the various inspection stops. • Assist in the investigation of non-conforming product, drives and issues Corrective Action activity both internally and externally. Responsible for all quality related reporting, internal and external. • Responsible for all quality audits, internal, customer related and certification related (ISO9100/As9100). • As a key member of the management team, helps identifies areas of improvement and growth throughout the organization in order to maximize efficiency and minimize cost and lead time. Specific Quality and Safety requirements of the position to include, but not limited to: • Experience with Quality Assurance Systems within the Aerospace manufacturing industry • Training / experience with pertinent quality procedures and certifications • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for a safe working environment Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and abilities: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines • Strong organizational and time management skills • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite, Quality Inspection systems (i.e.: Discuss), Blue Print reading, strong math skills, and ability to work well within a team oriented culture Education & Experience Required: • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience to include time spent preparatory work in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Engineering areas to acquire sufficient background as to procedure and supervisory techniques. • College graduate with exposure to Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience. • Some formal training in the principles of Lean Manufacturing Techniques is required. Hours: Standard Office Hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
