Washington Ave 9-5 Rahima Hoque Vascular Lab Technologist will work under the direction of the Divisional Administrator and the Technical Director. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform selected non-invasive testing procedures to evaluate arterial and venous circulation. Routine tests include: Upper and Lower Extremity PVR, Carotid Duplex, Peripheral Venous Duplex (DVT study, Reflux study, Upper and Lower Extremity Vein Mapping), Native Artery and Bypass Graft Duplex, Abdominal and Visceral Arterial Duplex. • Compile test results and create report using PenVasc. • Complete CPT portion of superbill for each patient. • Direct patients into the lab exam rooms. • Filing of patient charts and related documents as needed. • Faxing and copying as needed. • Order medical supplies as needed. • Provide coverage for other vascular technologists. • Maintain current status BCLS • Attend staff meetings. • Assist in training new personnel. • Perform other related duties as assigned. • Ensure service excellence by becoming thoroughly familiar with the “Seven Principles of Behavior” and putting them into practice in carrying out job responsibilities. • Conform to all applicable HIPAA, Billing Compliance, and safety guidelines. Other Duties: • Maintain a neat and orderly work area and equipment. • Exhibit a team-player mindset, attend regular staff meetings and manage all their responsibilities in a timely manner or as communicated to them. • Other administrative or miscellaneous duties as appropriate • Work as a functional member of the division. • Attend staff meetings as requested. • Assist in the training of new personnel. • Maintain professional demeanor at all times with patients, physicians, and with co-workers. • Responsible for any other duties as stipulated by the Billing Manager, physician, Division Chief, or Division Administrator. • Employee will ensure patient centered care by demonstrating behaviors that reflect a Culture of Service and will strive to meet the expectations of the “Seven Competencies”. QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Graduate • Must be able to perform studies independently • Certificate of completion from a diagnostic medical school. • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Vascular Technologist. • Possess knowledge of modern office equipment, systems and procedures. • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communicational skills. • Working knowledge of computers, fax and copy machines. • Must be able to function in an organized, neat and detailed manner. • RVT or RVS certification required… $27/HR
