Under close supervision, provides analysis, planning, implementation and support of the technological needs and objectives of the Engineering, Operations, Right of Way, Environmental & Safety, and Drafting corporate functional unit. The major objective of this role is to improve business processes and to support critical business strategies. It provides development, reengineering, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of business applications systems and processes. This position exists to provide the appropriate systems, applications and a level of technical support in order for the corporate functional unit to accomplish its business goals. This position must apply the most effective technology to the needs and objectives of the corporate functional unit. Knowledge: – Extensive experience in project management for system design, development and support. – Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for problem resolution. – Basic knowledge of Relational DBMS, SQL, web application development methods and tools. – Basic gas transportation industry knowledge. – Knowledge of system analysis and design techniques. – Knowledge of general technology tools: Windows/Windows Server, Networking, FileMaker, Content Server, Internet tools, Remote access and support tools. – Knowledge of pipeline Engineering systems, practices and processes: Bass Triton, Compliance Scheduling, Pipeline database systems. – Knowledge of Field Operations systems: Mapping tools, GIS/GPS systems, Compliance data collection, Civil Surveying applications and systems, practices and processes; SCADA systems, RSlogix, RSview, Hardware interface systems. – Knowledge of Drafting systems, practices and processes: Autodesk AutoCAD 2018, Civil Education and Experience: Extensive experience with distributed computer systems for large groups of users. – min. 3 year’s developing, programming and supporting systems – min. 2 years’ experience in the following: Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction and Operational groups and terminology; as first line responder to user support issues; interpreting user and business requirements into accurate and effective systems. – 1 yrs developing project proposal and justifications – Ability to coach, assist and train business users – Ability to effectively research, test, document, and implement new technologies
