  • Oversee and integrate best practice treatment for the program within a trauma informed framework
  • Identify Crisis Management program needs and develop and implement solution based protocols accordingly
  • Develop in writing, policies, procedures, and protocols for managing crisis and teaching affect regulation for youth and staff
  • Contribute solution based ideas for program growth during Administrative meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with senior administration and external stakeholders
  • Create and encourages opportunities for staff development and professional growth
  • Ensures programmatic compliance with auditing standards and agency policies
  • Actively Participant in all relevant programmatic and clinical meetings
  • Triaging of emerging critical incidents with relevant staff and ensuring that treatment planning for youth is carried out within the milieu and school where appropriate.

Management:

  • Directly supervise Crisis Intervention Specialists at Mann and Goldsmith.
  • Monitor, develop, and train staff on Comfort Rooms and Sensory Rooms at Mann and Goldsmith. 
  • Partner with the medical team around the development and supervision of the Recovery Zone(s) at Mann and Goldsmith.
  • Directly supervise a Therapeutic Recreation and Vocational Department at Mann and Goldsmith.
  • Develop and oversee Alternative School Programming, and function as a school liaison for both RTFs.
  • Partner with Milieu Directors to enhance therapeutic programming in the units.
  • Ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts for crisis management and recreation.
  • Working closely with the Milieu and Clinical Director, ensure that milieu staff implement clinical recommendations into the day-to-day residents' care.
  • Manage risk regarding client safety by adhering to all risk management protocols.
  • May be regularly scheduled for weekend/night/evening administrative responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED (List all that is required to achieve this position):

  • Masters required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in either a psychiatric hospital or residential treatment setting, two of which having been in a supervisory capacity.
