Start Date: ASAP End Date: Until opening is filled Work Schedule: 8:30-5:30 M – F although shifts may vary depending on clinical/operational needs Work Location: 630 W 168th St, 9th Floor, New York, NY 10032 Report To: Lisa De Vivo, Tina Stimpson & Fredelyne Paris Perm Salary: Job Description: Reporting to the Vice Dean for Administration and working very closely with the Postdoctoral Program Directors in Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Endodontics and the Director of Clinical Operations at the College of Dental Medicine (CDM), the Clinic Manager's responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following: supervise the daily operations of the CDM outpatient Postdoctoral Periodontics, Endodontics, and Prosthodontics clinics, including the implant program in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and compliance and regulatory guidelines. With 32 operatories, the clinics provide more than 20,000 visits annually. The Manager will direct front-desk reception, billing, patient registration, & appointment processes; hire, train, and supervise staff, including front desk and billing staff, dental assistants, and hygienist; implement processes to expedite patient flow with a focus on patient-centered management and customer service; develop and implement policies and procedures to manage regulatory processes; work closely with Clinic Administration and Informatics on the planned transition to an electronic patient record; oversee purchasing, inventory management, and facility management. The incumbent will also participate in the budget process, prepare utilization reports and related analyses on program productivity and financial performance; communicate policies, procedures, compliance regulations and pertinent information on a regular basis to faculty, staff, and students, and implement procedures to ensure adherence to regulations; develop and implement system for review and tracking of performance of students and fellows; manage staff schedules, staff development, and oversee timekeeping; ensure compliance with HIPAA and Environmental Health & Safety regulations; coordinate billing and collections, closing of care slips, balance end-of-day financial collections; prepare daily reports and review aged receivables reports; plan and develop marketing strategies and long-range plans; develop and implement system for review and tracking of performance of students and fellows; other ongoing projects and related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in training, education, and/or experience, plus minimum three years' related experience, including staff supervision and outpatient billing. Master's degree preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills required; strong customer service skills required; ability to interact effectively with faculty, students, and staff required. Ability to take initiative, use discretion and tact, and to establish priorities required. Must be computer literate (Word, Excel), and have experience in computerized billing and appointment systems. Preferred Qualifications: Dental practice experience preferred.
