The Customer Service Representative is responsible for engaging in inbound and outbound customer interactions. We are looking for a team member who can master the maximum possible number of quality inbound/outbound calls daily to customers, prospects, and leads to build relationships, generate new customers, and also generate new business within the existing customer base. The distribution site is a fast-paced, hands-on work environment – the successful candidate will be reliable, customer-focused, able to work quickly and accurately, and will bring a positive attitude.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate the maximum possible number of quality outbound calls daily to customers, prospects, and leads to generate new business with existing customers as well as new customers
- Execute CSR responsibilities such as sending quotes, catalogues, and samples as well as making follow-up calls
- Order tracking and provide customer detailed delivery information for their orders
- Respond to incoming customer inquiries (via phone, fax, email, and walk-in) as promptly as possible
- Acquire and maintain detailed product and application knowledge
- Deal patiently and knowledgeably with customers
- Heavy order entry and sample requests entered quickly and accurately
- Cooperate with other members of the team to meet customers’ needs
- Discuss customer applications and recommend products based on customer specifications
- Use CRM software to manage customer, prospect, and lead activity and information
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Superb time management and ability to multi-task and engage in several activities at once
- Quick and accurate shipment of orders and samples as well as data entry
- Dependable and reliable, with a strong work-ethic
- Strong listening and questioning skills
- General PC skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- High school diploma required and associates degree preferred
- Sales and customer service experience preferable
- Provide all elements of customer service support
