RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage patient flow through clinic visit • Coordinate with Front Desk to find out if the patient has arrived • Meet & greet patients in the waiting area • Escort patients to designated Exam Room from the waiting room or • Intake Station as appropriate • Escort patient to front desk for scheduling of follow up appointments as necessary • Responsible for managing a smooth clinic :flow by assessing and anticipating MD schedule and utilizing clinic exam rooms effectively • Vital Signs • Record vital signs (temperature, heart rate,. blood pressure & respirations) on all patients • Perform heights and weights on all patients utilizing the electronic health record • Perform 02 saturation readings • Prepare and stock exam rooms • Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and workstation areas, including contact with housekeeping and laundry services maintain a fully stocked and clean rooms • Responsible for stocking exam rooms with appropriate medical supplies and equipment • Turnover exam rooms after a visit is complete including proper disposal of soiled instruments • Oversee linen cart delivery and re-ordering of supplies as necessary • Ensure adequate supply of oxygen tanks and re-order as necessary. • Responsible for restocking waiting room with material for patient review • Support programs /providers as necessary • Perform emergency/urgent EKGs as needed (i.e. patient is SOB or c/o chest pain) • CROWN order entry required • Perform venipuncture as needed • Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider • Perform finger sticks for glucose testing • Perform daily quality controls for blood glucose meter • Collect wound, urine or sputum cultures upon request • Put dry, sterile dressing after wound assessment or debridement • Alert providers if patients are in need of urgent attention
