Supply Chain Clerk (Dental School) *Possible temp-to-perm
Work Schedule: M-F 9a-5p
Reporting to the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine (CDM) Supply Chain Manager, incumbent will assist with the receiving, disbursement and maintenance of implant and related components inventory. In particular, individual will assist with scanning in deliveries of implants, scan out inventory to students, faculty and staff according to approved protocols, and scan back into inventory returned or unused items. Much of the inventory consists of tiny fixtures and the ability to organize and track these parts is essential. Responsible for the collection, cleaning, labeling and packaging of implant components that have been used within the CDM clinics. Will place orders for new inventory using a procurement card and will process the incurred charges in the financial system. Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, incumbent will reconcile disbursed items to patient records. Using inventory software, MS Excel, and the Electronic Health Record will produce reports on inventory balances, patient activity, resident activity and the associated inventory and expenses. Will assist Supply Chain Coordinator with computer-based tasks including reporting on supply usage, maintenance of standard order forms and inventory tracking tools. This position requires flexibility in scheduling as there are some days that will require late hours to coincide with disbursement of inventory to the evening clinic. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in business or inventory management. Must have strong computer skills and must have excellent mathematical and organizational skills. Must be detail oriented. Must have excellent interpersonal skills as position will require contact with faculty, students and administration.
